Sample Projects
We are proud to say that since our launch in 2015, we have covered by far the largest area (in terms of square kilometers) compared to the competitors. We have a long list of projects in various scopes that required different kinds of drones, and expertise. On this page, a brief is given for some of our major projects.
Project Name: Jahra Waterfront- Extended Limits Topographic Survey
Client: Gulf Consults
Area: 5,700,000 m2
Ground Sampling Distance (GSD): 4 cm/pixel
Scope: Topographic Survey, Master-planning
Description: The client wanted to survey the seabed under low-tide conditions. This project was time-sensitive and required a lot of hard work. The data collection was finished in two days and the data collection was scheduled to be on the low tide time. This project would’ve cost a lot of money to conduct using alternative methods such as boats and it would’ve required a lot of time and effort. The processing also took two days and the total time to complete this project was four days. The client visited the site to check the methodology and they were happy with the methodology and the outputs. This project also took time in the summer in the extreme heat it was conducted safely and timely which is a result of our tested methodology for these conditions.
Project Name: Jahra Waterfront Topographic Survey
Client: Gulf Consults
Area: 7,500,000 m2
Ground Sampling Distance (GSD): 4 cm/pixel
Scope: Topographic Survey, Master-planning
Description: Jahra Waterfront project was considered a challenging project to survey using traditional methods. The area was not accessible by vehicles and it was hard to access by the surveyors because of the mud and the desert plants. We successfully conducted the survey using RTK technology with a base station set up on a ground control point and other ground control points for GPS correction. We also set up checkpoints to verify the accuracy of the outputs. The results were very satisfying to the client as the maximum vertical error did not exceed 10 cm. The drone methodology saved a lot of time on-site as the whole project was finished in one week; Three days for data collection and three days for processing the data to deliver the outputs. It would have taken at least a month using traditional methods given the accessibility challenges
Project Name: Stockpile Inventory Report
Client: Combined Group for Rocks
Area: 850,000 m2
Ground Sampling Distance (GSD): 3.7 cm/pixel
Scope: Volumetric Calculations, Reporting,
Description: Combined Group for Rocks has one of the largest stores of aggregates stockpiles in Kuwait. Our scope was to do aerial surveying using RTK multirotor drones to collect the data and post-process it to calculate the volume of each stockpile. This approach saved the client a lot of time while avoiding the danger of climbing each stockpile to collect the data using traditional methods. The client was satisfied with the results of the 2018 report and requested us to do the survey again in 2019.
Project Name: Green Island
Client: Touristic Enterprises Company (TEC)
Area: 250,000 m2
Ground Sampling Distance (GSD): 4 cm/pixel
Scope: Planning, As-built Map
Description: Green Island is an artificial island that is considered a popular touristic milestone in Kuwait. The survey was conducted using multirotor drones. The data was collected, and the outputs were delivered in one day.
Project Name: Doha Entertainment City
Client: Touristic Enterprises Company (TEC)
Area: 5,100,000 m2
Ground Sampling Distance (GSD): 5 cm/pixel
Scope: Planning, As-built Map
Description: Doha Entertainment City was one of Kuwait’s touristic milestones. We conducted a drone survey using a fixed-wing drone for TEC back in September 2017. Fixed-wing drones are much faster in the data collection of projects that have large open areas. The data collection was finished in three days and the processing was finished in two days.
Project Name: Boodai Natural Reserve
Client: Fayez Boodai
Area: 300,000 m2
Ground Sampling Distance (GSD): 4 cm/pixel
Scope: Natural Life Monitoring, Boundaries Monitoring, Irrigation Planning
Description: Boodai Natural Reserve is considered one of the largest natural reserves in Kuwait. It contains a lot of rare wild plants that are protected from cars and animals. The data was collected using an RTK drone in one day and the outputs were delivered the next day.
Project Name: EPA Asbestos Landfill
Client: Environment Public Authority
Area: 300,000 m2
Ground Sampling Distance (GSD): 5 cm/pixel
Scope: Volumetric Calculations, Reporting, Aerial Mapping
Description: Asbestos is a natural mineral and carcinogen that is toxic and causes cancers. It is very dangerous to go near this material. The EPA wanted to conduct a volumetric survey of their Asbestos landfill. We have conducted this survey using a fixed wing drone from a safe distance as the only safe option compared to traditional methods. The data was collected in one day and the outputs were delivered to the client in the following day.
